Spotlight: Brian Mockenhaupt

Please join us in congratulating Brian, Managing Editor of the Journal of Military Experience for winning the Michael Kelly award for his story “The Living and the Dead.” His short story won him $25,000 for his exemplary, 18 month research-journalism on a platoon (and often outside the wire). I did and I can’t wait to read it! Mockenhaupt’s writing has been published in The Atlantic, Outdoor Magazine, and Esquire (among other prestigious publications).
