“Bravely Fought; Unkindly Wounded”

They fought bravely for us, one and all.
Tragically, some were destined to fall.
Many survived fierce battle fights,
only to suffer horrible post-war plights.

Wounded in body, spirit, or mind,
they struggled mightily with wounds unkind.
Some had wounds that never would heal,
needing help for body and soul to forever anneal.

Some seek forgiveness for actions gone wrong,
playing nightmares over again like an old song.
Our prayers are with all as they go their harsh way,
while we assist on their arduous path forever to stay.
