Blazin’ Guns: an affectionate nickname coined by the crew of my frigate.

Blazin’: for my large (gay) personality. You’d have to be blazing to be that open during Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

Guns: the nickname for the specialty rating of Gunner’s Mate, a small arms technician and master of the ship’s cannon. Who ever heard of a gay with a gun?

“Hey, that’s Blazin’ Guns to you, and I teach you how to shoot. To top that off this southpaw learned backward in order to instruct all you right-handed shooters.”

Never a task made easy, charged with other’s educational processes. The first to blaze a light on the unknown must learn to speak a common language.
