In April 2011, veteran authors and artists gathered at Hastings in Richmond, KY to sign copies of the first volume of The Journal of Military Experience. These veterans represent the Army and the Marine Corp, the Air Force and the Navy, and can claim service in Iraq, Afghanistan, Bosnia, the Gulf War, and elsewhere while in defense of freedom.
