Participants Share Experiences at Military Experience and the Arts Symposium

In July 2012 more than 120 veterans, spouses, workshop leaders, performers, and veteran service officers met in Richmond, KY for the first-ever Military Experience and the Arts Symposium. Participants came from three different countries and represented every war back to the Korean War. The participants paid nothing for registration , lodging, meals, art supplies, or classes. Some veterans wrote for the first time in years. Others created artwork based on what they were feeling. All left with a sense of community. In the linked article, see what Stars and Stripes had to say about this monumental event.
