No, not that one percent—
The other one percent.

The one percent who carry guns
That protect my right to demand gun control

The one percent who protect my freedom of speech
Even when it protests what they hold most dear

The one percent who get to board the plane first
While vacationers grumble about waiting in line

The one percent who get placed on hold
While they contemplate suicide.

The one percent who have seen
What I will never see

And done
What I will never do

Because they are there
Making sure I don’t have to.
