(“These Little Hands” mobile version)
These little girl hands
These tiny little wrists
So docile and fragile
For a world they shouldn’t exist
These little girl’s hands
A woman has borne
The strength and the pain of being war-torn
These little girl hands have held life in their grasp
To take and to give have been the hardest tasks
These little girl hands held those of my own
Remembering those times, the times they had to take another’s alone
From these little girl hands these expectations are low
But what they’ve held in their grasp the world fails to know.
