Title: “Tower Two”
Artist: J.G.P. MacAdam
Size: 8” x 11”
Medium: Pencil and Paper
Artist Statement: Just you and another soldier—talking—that’s all. In guard towers across Afghanistan, men and women shared stories, feelings, thoughts, philosophies, frustrations, packs of smokes, for hours and hours on end. I remember many a conversation I would never have had anywhere else. They’re good places to just talk.
